Contracts vs Single Requests: Two Ways to Get Clips

For BuyersFor ClippersApril 8, 2026

LF_Clips has two ways for buyers and clippers to work together: Single Requests and Contracts. Each one fits a different situation.

Single Requests

A single request is a one-off clip request. A buyer posts what they're looking for — a link to a channel or video, the format (short or edit), and a brief description. Any clipper can see the request and upload a clip for it. The buyer browses the submissions and purchases whichever ones they like.

How it works for buyers

  1. Go to Requests and post a request with a link, format, and description.
  2. Clippers upload clips to your request.
  3. Browse the submissions on your request page.
  4. Purchase the ones you want individually.

How it works for clippers

  1. Browse open requests on the Requests page.
  2. Find one that matches your style and make a clip.
  3. Upload the clip and paste the request URL to attach it.
  4. If the buyer likes it, they purchase it and you get paid.

Singles work well when a buyer needs a specific clip and wants to see what different clippers come up with. Multiple clippers can submit to the same request, and the buyer picks what they want.

Contracts

A contract is a multi-clip job with a set budget and deadline. The buyer defines exactly how many clips they need, how much they'll pay for the batch, and how long the clipper has to deliver. One clipper gets the job and delivers all the clips.

How it works for buyers

  1. Go to Post a Contract and fill in the details: title, description, content link, number of clips, total budget, format, and deadline.
  2. Clippers submit proposals with a sample clip from their portfolio.
  3. Review the samples and accept the clipper you want. Your card is authorized for the total budget.
  4. The clipper delivers clips by the deadline. Once all clips are delivered, payment is captured automatically.
  5. Leave a review after the contract is fulfilled.

How it works for clippers

  1. Browse open contracts on the Contracts page.
  2. Submit a proposal by pasting a link to one of your uploaded clips as a sample.
  3. If the buyer accepts your proposal, the contract goes active and the deadline starts.
  4. Upload the required number of clips before the deadline.
  5. Once all clips are delivered, the contract becomes fulfilled and you become entitled to payment.

Contracts give clippers guaranteed payment for a batch of work. The buyer pays for the full set upfront, and the clipper knows exactly what they're delivering and what they'll earn.

When to Use Which

Use a single when you need one or two clips and want to see submissions from multiple clippers before buying.

Use a contract when you need multiple clips from one clipper, want guaranteed delivery by a deadline, and prefer to pay for the batch as a whole.
